Kodagu very much of Karnataka: CM
Tuesday, June 30, 2009
Ruling out any move to support the demand for a seperate state of Kodagu, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa asserted that Kodagu was an integral part of the State and would remain as it is.
He said that his government would oppose any move to seperate Kodagu from the State and this has been consulted with the Center also. There has been a demand for a seperate Kodava state which is mainly attributed to the uniqueness of culture in this region. --MP
