Helicopter training academy by next year

The much delayed helicopter training academy, in Bangalore is finally now expected to become operational by next year.

The Helicopter Academy to Train by Simulation of Flying (HATSOFF)which is a joint venture of the HAL and Canada based CAE is being set up to train pilots using Simulation and modelling techniques.

The new Center when fully functional is expecetd to provide training and maintenance service to 400 pilots including civilian and military pilots.--MP
