BJP claims Karnataka

It was a clear win for BJP at Karnataka winning 19 seats of the total 28 LS seats. For the Congress its time for introspection as it managed to win just 6 seats and for the JD(s) had to content with just 3 seats.

The prominent winners included H D Deve Gowda and H D Kumaraswamy of JD(S), Dharam Singh, Veerappa Moily, Mallikarjun Kharge, Muniyappa of Congress, H N Ananthakumar, B Y Raghavendra of BJP.

Meanwhile the Cong losers include prominent figures like Bangarappa, Margaret Alva, Ambareesh, Janardhana Poojary etc.
