Alwa bats from Uttara Kannada

Veteran Congress leader Margaret Alva who was slammed by Congress for indisciplinary action a few months ago, is now back into active politics again.

The Congress has named Margaret Alva as its candidate to fight from Uttara Kannada constituency of Karnataka.

The other popular nominations among the Congress list include  M. Veerappa Moily from Chikballapur,  Bangarappa from Shimoga, N. Dharam Singh from Bidar etc. However the party has not yet announced the candidate for Mandya.
