Govt denies Chidambaram's charges
Saturday, March 7, 2009
With questions raised over the cancellation of Union Home Minister's much pending visit to Karnataka, the State government has ruled out the allegations made on his government by the Home Minister Chidambaram.
According to the home ministry, Karnataka CM has agreed to hold discussions with Chidambaram to review on the security situations but has rescheduled it thrice to a later date citing CM's inconvinence as reason. However it was later confirmed forĀ Mar 7th ,but one day before the Karnataka govt informed that the CM would be unable to attend the meeting which is learnt to have irked the Union Minister who cancelled his tour. But the State govt says that Chidambaram could have gone ahead with the meeting along with the State Home Minister even in the CM's absence. --MP
