"Accident" a musical murder mystery: Ramesh

Accident directed by actor Ramesh Aravind will be hitting theaters in the State this week. The film revolves around a road accident that occurs on a Goa trip. The film features Ramesh, Rekha, Sundharani, Pooja Gandhi etc in the lead.

Accident can be called a musical murder mystery reveals, Ramesh. Apart from a thriller focussing on road mishaps, the film is altogether a masala entertainer, claims the director.

The film is produced under the banner of Vishishta productions and is eing dubbed to Tamil and Telungu as well.

Suvarna awards for Milana, Puneet, Pooja

The Ujala Suvarna Film Awards were presented by the Suvarna channel as a part of the Suvarna Karnataka celebrations. The award a tribute to Dr Rajkumar was inaugurated by Raj's wife Parvathamma Rajkumar.

The major awards went to Milana for Best film, Puneet Rajkumar(best actor), Pooja Gandhi( Best actress). Suri of Duniya fame won the best director award.

Ganesh and Ramya were adjudged as the popular actor and actress. Best choreographer: Imran(Hudugata). Best Lyrics: Jayanth Kaikini( Milana).

Gooli directed by P. Sathya and produced by Ramu is based on under world. Young face Sudeep plays the hero and title role as gangster Gooli. His performance is praisable.

Mamta Mohandas pairs opposite Sudeep and plays his love interset. She is okay but could have done better. Few songs are tunable. Sudeep carries the film and all credits to him for his action packed perfomance.

The technical aspects are just fair. Climax has been worked out well but the script has its faults. But overall a watchable flick.

Nanda Nandita

Another thriller themed on gangster. Directed by Vijayakumar and produced by Ramesh Kashyap. Yogesh, Sneha play the title roles respectively.

Manju Mandavya has given some punchy dialogues which has well recieved by the audience. Script is loose and the story has nothing much to offer than some fights for the action lovers.

Lingenahalli Sureshchandra as the villain does justice to his role. Mathew Rajan's camerawork is worth a mention. Jinkemareena song is certainly the best highlight of the film.

Amoolya in Narayan's next

Actress Amoolya of 'Cheluvina Chiththaara' fame is all set to act in S.Narayan's next venture. The film directed by Narayan was a huge hit in which Amoolya acted against Ganesh.

The 15 year old was much appreciated for her powerful performance in the film. However she was keen with her studies and did not act in any other films after that.

The new film of Narayan is in its initial stages and yet to finalise on the cast. The director himself would write the script, and compose music for the film.

Vamshi has superstar Puneet Rajkumar playing the lead. The movie produced by Punnet's home production was recently launched at late Rajkumar's residence by Parvathamma.

The film is themed on family sentiments which potray deep relation between mother and son. Lakshmi plays the mother role. An underworld story is also weaved along with this. An action cum romantic family drama is all what one can exspect from this Puneet starrer.

Sudeep to make mark in Hindi

Actor cum director Sudeep of who had made a place among the Kannada viewers is out there to try out his hands in Bollywood.

Sudeep's directorial debut My Autograph also was a hit and was being remade in Hindi.
The popular actor is said to have agreed to work in a Hindi film which is being directed by none other than Ram Gopal Varma.

Though details of the project is not known, Sudeep says he was interested with the script of the RGV film.

The project is already underway and Sudeep has joined the sets soon after the shooting of his Kannada film, Theertha.

Lakshmi to debut in Hindi

Popular South Indian actress and Bangalore girl, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is all set to make her debut in Bollywood.

Though from Karnataka, Laksmi is known more in the Malayalam and Tamil film industry.

She will now be seen in Hindi film, Dhuaan where she plays the centeral character of the film as a journalist. Lakshmi will be seen along with other yesteryear actors like Padmini Kolhapuri, Rati Agnihotri, Raj Babbar etc.

Manasugala Mathu Madhura, an offering from director Manju Maskalmatti fails to impress.

Neither the story nor the plot is interesting. Newcomer and U2 anchor Anand who is the hero needs to work out on his acting skills. Haripriya is just okay. Both play love interest which is the theme of the film.

The movie lacks the punch to keep the interest among the audience and slow in pace at times. It has nothing to offer than just time pass.

Varasdhara

Varasdhara is the recent Kannada film made by B.P. Srinivas and Arun Rajappa.

The film is directed by Guru Deshpande. Newcomers Sandeep and Ashwini does justice to their roles.

The film themed on the subject terrorism tries to potray the influence of underworld in helping the government to fight off terrroism.

Belagere as the don shines. Dattana does a commendable performance. Sadashiva Brahmavar, Navnith Srinivas, Dilip, Venkatappa, Master Kiran etc are there in the cast. Rajesh Ramanath music is fine.

Though a debutant, the director does a good job in presenting the story and makes it a watchable one.
