Mestru is directed by Mahadevu. Mestru has actor Devraj playing the main character and title role of a teacher in the film
Devraj who has donned many a tough roles of a police officer will be seen in an entirely different role in the film.
The film is told in the backdrop of late 1970s which depicts a school teacher's relation with a rowdy. Veteran actress Bhanupriya plays opposite to Devaraj in the film. Mansoor Ali Khan plays the other key role in the film.
K.M.Indra has composed the music for the film. The shooting of the film is underway.
